I enjoy taking walks since I brought home my friend, Great Dane, Monte!

You can walk your dog almost anyplace! I take Monte almost everywhere I go and he loves it. I just got back from taking Monte to Canada. I can tell you this, he enjoyed camping, the motels, the beaches, the parks, and all the tourists traps. He wanted to stay up with us in the jeep and see everything as we traveled.

Garberville, California?

Well Garberville to me is the beginning of the Redwood Empire that goes all the way up to Cresent City. Here you can travel along some of the most beautiful redwood groves in the world!

We played at every Beach! Catch me if you can!

The highlight for Monte, I think, was the beaches of the Oregon coast. I think we stopped at every one. Each beach he would want to run and play and see everything he could. It was almost like it was his dream land. I have to admit the Oregon coast is beautiful.

We noticed that the areas along Interstate 5 are really growing, Portland and Seattle areas had a lot of new homes and shopping centers.

Then, the time finally came, Monte finally got to go international, we went into Canada. We wanted to see Vancouver, the city didn't disappoint us, it was beautiful. Monte really enjoyed playing at Stanley Park. The city was very clean and the people there were very nice to us. People from all over the world visit the park and Monte was a hit. Every place we stopped people wanted their picture taken with Monte. This made for some very tiring days.

As with all vacations we had to head back home to get back to our normal lives . Our pictures and memories will bring smiles until our next adventure.

If you are going to bring your dog with you on vacation here are some of the things you should bring with you.
  1. A book which tells you which motels take dogs
  2. Campground book that tells who take dogs
  3. Dog Food
  4. Extra water
  5. Plastic bags to use as a pooper scooper
  6. Extra blanket to make sure you dog stays warm
  7. A health certificate if you are leaving the country
  8. A couple of toys to entertain your dog at quiet times
  9. Plenty of photo equipment
